FRANCISCO PIZARRO

Francisco Pizarro is a Spanish conquistador, who'm conquered the Incan Empire and was the founder of Lima. He was born between 1471-1478 in Truijillo, Spain and was the illegitmate son of Gonzalo Fernandez de Corodoba and birth son of Francisca Gonzalez Mateos. Pizarro died in Lima, Peru on June 26, 1541. He was assassinated by Diego Almagro, who'm after his crime forced the young city to appoint him governor of Peru. Pizarro's body was brought to the cathedral courtyard where soon after his head and body were seperated and buried in seperate boxes underneath the floor of the cathedral. Pizarro's legacy; after over taking the Incan Empire, Pizarro's conquest allowed Peru and Ecuador to form and sustain they're own form of government. The Incas polytheistic religion was replaced with Christianity and the main Inca language was reduced to a minor role in society with spanish became the more dominate language. The cities of the Incan Empire were transformed into Catholic, Spanish cities. Pizarro is also famed for ordering Atahualpa's death after his paid ransom. Pizarro conquered alot throughout his lifetime and was one of the most successful Spanish conquistadors of his time.
